Our on-site fitness center offers organized exercise classes such as Tai Chi, aerobics, and yoga, as well as training equipment, weights, treadmills, and stationary bicycles. Here are details on a few of the classes available:
- Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life.
- Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support.
- Strength and Balance Exercise Program includes flexibility exercises, band and balance training plus relaxation activities.
- Line Dancing is very popular. The dances are easy to learn, with straightforward steps.
Members also love our full-sized swimming pool. It’s heated and open year-round. Here you can enjoy free lap swimming any time of day or a low-impact water aerobic class with our certified instructor.
Vicar’s beautifully landscaped grounds, complete with secure and well-lit walkways, are always open for a meditative or group walk. An outing in nature can lift the spirits and promote a greater sense of well-being.
There is always something more to learn about keeping ourselves healthy and well, in body and mind. Our Wellness Wednesday programs teach tips for achieving a healthy lifestyle, dietary planning and much more. At Vicar’s Landing, we also focus on fostering Social and Spiritual Wellness.
