Fortunately, with the goal of always putting residents first, not only has Vicar’s Landing survived, our retirement community is thriving and our grounds have never looked better!
Vicar’s Landing can trace its history back to 1982. It was then that Rev. James H. Cooper realized that this wonderful area in North Florida was perfect except for one important aspect: There wasn’t a residential retirement community to meet the needs of area residents, most of whom wanted to continue living life to the fullest. Rev. Cooper, along with members of his congregation, formed a committee and laid the foundation for what would become Vicar’s Landing.
From humble beginnings over a quarter-century ago, Vicar’s Landing has grown to include hundreds of fabulous independent-living residences. And that’s just the beginning. Our Gold Seal Award-winning skilled nursing facility, Windsor Health Center, features 60 licensed beds with over 50 distinctive private rooms. Stratford, our on-site assisted living facility, has close to 40 spacious one-bedroom suites for our residents. It’s a growing and thriving community.
You Deserve The Best In Senior Living.
No wonder demand is always high. Spaces aren’t always available, and when a residence does become available, it’s quickly taken by the next name on our waiting list. Getting on the waiting list as soon as possible is highly advised.
Finally, confirming the elite status of Vicar’s Landing is our recognition by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF-CCAC), the nation’s only accrediting body for Life Choice Communities™.
